Enabling the next wave of connectivity

Our Company

Trans Americas Fiber System (TAFS) is a next-generation infrastructure company redefining connectivity across the Americas.

We’re building TAM-1, an open access subsea and terrestrial fiber optic network that brings world class technology and regional impact together.

Our approach goes beyond infrastructure we connect regions with purpose, ensuring that connectivity becomes a catalyst for economic growth, innovation, and inclusion.

Our Story

Trans Americas Fiber System (TAFS) was founded to address a critical challenge across the Americas: the lack of resilient, scalable, and neutral digital infrastructure connecting Latin America and the Caribbean to global networks.

For years, the region has relied on aging systems, limited routes, and fragmented connectivity. As demand for data, cloud services, and digital transformation continues to accelerate, these constraints have widened the digital divide and limited economic growth.

Our Vision

TAFS was created with a clear VISION: To renew connectivity across the Americas, reduce the digital divide and promote digital inclusion through equitable access.

Our MISION is to deploy and manage sustainable, high-capacity, and open-access digital infrastructure throughout the Americas, leveraging collaborative partnerships with local governments, non-profit organizations, and private sector entities to ensure affordable, reliable, and accessible internet access for all communities.

Our Mision

Our first step into this journey is TAM-1, a state-of-the-art fiber optic network designed to create new low-latency routes, increase route diversity, and enable equitable access to world-class connectivity. TAM-1 combines next-generation subsea cable systems with integrated terrestrial networks to provide end-to-end solutions for carriers, hyperscalers, enterprises, and governments across the region.

Furthermore, TAM-1 is laying the groundwork to extend connectivity deeper into the northern and eastern Caribbean countries, and TAFS is in the preparation stage of TAM-2 which will extend the footprint from Panama to Pacific South America.

More than a network, TAFS is an infrastructure platform built for long-term impact enabling resilience, scalability, and inclusive digital growth throughout the Americas.
